AN OPEN LETTER TO NASARAWA STATE UNIVERSITY, KEFFI VICE -CHANCELLOR

Comrade Kabiru Ibrahim Dallah
AN OPEN LETTER TO NASARAWA STATE UNIVERSITY, KEFFI VICE -CHANCELLOR
Let me start by first congratulating you on your decision to call Nigerian Students back on campus to continue their normal academic activities.
Your decision, now after a long break, is pleasing to the generality of NSUK community and National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS).
Let me come back to the body of this letter to you, Prof. Shamsudeen Amali.
I want use this very medium to write you that your policies, actions, and decisions so far as the Vice Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, have been seen by me as draconian, despotic, victimizing, oppressive, totalitarian, autocratic, bourgeois, inhumane, and above all against the will of Allah.
Before I fire on, let me remind you of the fact that there were people whose actions have been ‘Abachaic’, ‘ Babangidaic’ or ‘Qaddafic’ in nature, but what was their end? Muamma Al-Qaddafi was disgraced, and died eventually, so shall every human’s taste death. Then, the question is: what would be the gain of a ruler (not a Vice Chancellor) that had asked all of his students to pay the sum of N1000 to the School account in the name of damage charges before resumption on the 28th April, 2013, please mention one Property of NSUK that was damaged by Nigerian Students during the peaceful protest by the harmless Nigerian Students (It Is Called An Exploitation Nigerian Students), and our analysis has shown to us that there are over 15,000 Nigerian Students in Nasarawa State University, Keffi, imagine the peaceful protest that was staged outside the campus (Keffi-Abuja High Way) and you are now asking Nigerian Students to pay damage fees, wonders shall not end.
At first instance, one would think that you would do better than your predecessors, but with all these your policies, with time you might be the worst Vice Chancellor, the Nasarawa State University, Keffi ever produced. You promised more Students hostels all in the name that it is not secured for Nigerian Students to be living off campus. If I may ask, How many toilets in the rotten Students Hostels are now working in NSUK? I could behold each time faces with hearts cursing you, and your administration, whenever I remembered that you are calling the Students back to campus without putting into consideration of the compensation that’s suppose to be paid to the families of the deceased (Aminu And Emmanuel Rest In Peace) and the killers of the harmless Nigerian Students should be brought to book? What an incompetent Vice Chancellor.

With due respect sir, you do not need to be a military man before one can conclude your dictatorial tendencies and policies. I am of the opinion that you are an agent of the State Government with the determination to oppress, suppress, and kill any voice that may want to speak. You have deployed enough military and paramilitary personnel during the 25th of February 2013 peaceful protest that led to the death of two harmless Nigerian Students in NSUK. You have given the security operatives in the University that power to protect you, using the instrumentality of the State Government, invariably protecting the interests of the State Government under the leadership of Governor Umar Tanko Almakura. There is nothing you do that will be queried by your pay master. Your salary is nothing less than N1 million per month, and you think you are okay with that. I wonder when this country would be great, as someone like you ought to resign immediately despite the fact that the people are not happy with you, and they have compared you, with other past Vice chancellor in NSUK, and the conclusion is that they has done better than you. It is glaring that you have not lived up to expectation in your days so far as the Vice Chancellor of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi.

It is quite unfortunate the way you have Started buying some touts in the name of Students to your side in order to suspend the Students Union Government of NSUK, don’t try it, if not you will face the wrath of Nigerian Students. It is painful that some Students had turned themselves to your puppet all in the name that they wanted to have good life: ride good cars, and build good house,

Furthermore, can we conclude that you are diplomatic or witty when you use the security people, soldiers, police, and the incompetent disciplinary committee to silence student Union Government, or perhaps others? I put it to you that you are fearful. You deployed some of your ‘dogs’ in the name of senate committee to invites me to appear before them and I did, what else, you also asked Governor Almakura Committee to invites me but then I was in Lagos and I didn’t make it to NSUK. You guard your own children with soldiers. You protect your kinsmen using the same instrumentality of the State Government. I pray I don’t die on time before then to tell tales of your deeds to my fellow indigenes and compatriots in Nasarawa State.
I hope it is not true that you threatened Comrade Rabiu Tijani Omame, the Student Union Government President, not to protect the interest of a common Nigerian Students in NSUK. I hope you did not bribe some of the Student leaders in NSUK to support your anti humane policies of scraping the SUG and collecting N1000 from each Nigerian Student in NSUK as a so called damage fees. I hope you did not bribe the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) members of your school to dissociate themselves from the National Secretariat of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Then, I ask: is it None Students of NSUK Disciplinary Committee or NSUK Students’ Disciplinary Committee? You have asked Barrister R.A Liman, the legal adviser of NSUK, to be the Secretary of panel to discipline students because you know she can deliver. But at times I ask: is she a barrister of Law or Barrister of Victimization? Your committee have threatened that Ahmadu Bello University Zaria could withhold my certificate if I didn’t produced those that organized the peaceful protest in NSUK (I Don’t Know Them Because I am not from NSUK) or I should support the NSUK management to punished the Student Union Government President, Then, I say go ahead and do that for the legal battle line to be drawn further.
On a final note, should one conclude that those that wrote petitions against you to the Nasarawa State House Of Assembly that you were not fit and proper to become the Vice Chancellor of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi were right for you have turned the instrumentality of the State Government to means of personal vendetta, victimization, and oppression?

Yours faithfully,
Comrade Ibrahim Kabiru Dallah
